But others on the forum might think I've sold out!
Swapped bikes with a mate of mine for around 30 minutes.
Not too bad at all, these busa's...

Not bad, huh? Corners good for a big bike. Looks like a blue 08. First year of the gen2. To me, the differences are minimal but the 14 does just a slight untamed feel to it which I like. The mods make all the difference. I don't think anyone needs to have both but it's nice to have change in the look of the bike.

I felt the Bussa had a better smoother gearbox and tipped in better.
But the 14 was sharper on the throttle with a bit more punch and was better once leaned into a corner.
Never really tested the brakes aggressively.
Both bloody good but I was happy to get back onto my bike again.
I definitely thought it had the alround edge except for the gearbox.
Pretty close competition though.
Can't really lose no matter which one you chose...

Yep, the 14 has really good fine throttle response and somehow has a more aggressive feel to the acceleration especially in midrange.
Busa definitely tips in better and handles more predictably at low speed. High speed, I think they're about the same cornering but the 14 sure requires more effort to hold the steering. I notice that after I ride the busa for several days and then hop on the 14. The steering feels light and neutral on the busa but when I ride the 14, I get used to extra force it takes to hold the bike on a line just as well.
I think the busa suspension is better for sure.
Never really tested the brakes aggressively.

The new 2015 Busa should be interesting.
Looking forward to seeing what they come up with and the related reviews.
